How to Prepare for a Maid Service
Posted on Feb 8, 2016 3:23pm PST
You have done it. You booked that maid service you were always dreaming
about but were uncertain of. Now that you have a date and time scheduled,
you may wonder what is next. How much should you clean up before the maids
arrive? Should you do anything at all? These are all valid questions that
many of our cleaners at The Maids® Dallas have heard. We understand
your concern and want you to get the most out of your cleaning. That is
why we have listed a few ways you can prepare for a service.
Pick Up Clutter
During normal cleanings, you want the maids to spend quality time actually
cleaning your home, rather than tidying up. That is why you should pick
up any toys, clothing, and paperwork around the house before our maids
come. This will not only allow them time to spend on the important issues,
but you know where items in your home belong, so there will be no issues
of lost things.
Communicate
Prior to your service, be sure to tell your cleaners exactly what you want
from them. If there is one area in the house that you want more attention
on, communicate that with them. The better you articulate your wishes,
the better we can fulfill them.
Load Your Dishwasher
If your sink is full, we recommend that you load up your dishwashers. This
way, we can focus on cleaning and disinfecting the sink, rather picking
up the dishes.
Take Care of Your Pets
If you have pets that you know are uncomfortable around strangers, we recommend
planning alternative arrangements for them while we are working. However,
in most cases, our maids can work around pets.
Leave Clean Linen on Beds
If you would like your bedsheets changed, leave clean linens on your bed.
That way our maids will know to change them.
At The Maids® Dallas, we want everyone to enjoy our services, stress
free. We hope these tips help prepare you for a visit. For all your future
